Mr. Mayne has a strong background in managing growth-stage technology and industrial companies. As the former Managing Director and CEO of German battery manufacturing company Liacon GmbH—prior to its acquisition by Trion in 2022—he has led strategic turnarounds, handled key sales negotiations, and managed significant fundraising efforts. With degrees in renewable energy engineering and finance and over 10 years in the alternative investments and energy transition sectors, Mr. Mayne also brings valuable financial and operational expertise. Previous roles include Senior Investment Manager at Whiteridge Funds and a Hedge Fund Analyst at Signet Capital Management in London.

Timothy Mayne
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Cavanagh was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ASX-listed MMA Offshore Ltd, a global marine and subsea engineering services provider, from 2017 to June 2025. He led the turnaround that resulted in a A$1bn+ takeover by a Singapore-based Private Equity Fund in mid-2024.
Previously, David spent over seven years with Toll Group, a leading global logistics provider, where he managed A$1.2B in revenue and A$700M in assets. He also held senior finance roles at Toll Energy Marine Pty Ltd and Toll Remote Logistics Pty Ltd, overseeing A$300M in annual revenue.

David holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Accounting) and a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) with Honours in Biotechnology from the University of Queensland. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAA) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

David Cavanagh
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Simmank brings over 25 years of senior leadership in finance and operations across Europe, North America, and Asia. At Trion, he is responsible for operational execution and financial planning within the company’s German manufacturing subsidiary. His career includes key roles as Finance Manager at Varo Energy and International Finance Manager at VON ARDENNE GmbH, where he also served as Director of its Hong Kong operations. Jens is recognized for his ability to manage complex operations efficiently and with financial precision.

Jens Simmank
Chief Operations Officer, LIACON

Mr. McMahon is an experienced chemical engineer over 20 years' experience in batteries, process development and production scale-up. During his time at battery R&D consulting firm Coulometrics, he led projects developing LFP cells to meet challenging customer requirements, commissioned automated cell assembly equipment for cylindrical 18650 cells, and developed state-of-the-art cell production techniques. Mr. McMahon first began working with Trion's German subsidiary, Liacon, on the development of its LFP cell technology at Coulometrics in 2019. In the battery industry, Mr. McMahon has held the positions of Director of Process Development, Principal Engineer and Senior Project Leader.

Shawn McMahon

Mr. Turner brings more than two decades of experience in the lithium-ion battery industry, specializing in research and development, new material validation, and advanced cell chemistry. His career spans leadership roles in building and commissioning LFP production facilities, as well as directing R&D strategies to meet evolving industry needs. Joe previously served as Director of R&D at Coulometrics and K2 Energy Solutions, contributing to innovations in battery materials, pack systems, and production methods for high-performance applications.

Mr. Kim has held senior finance positions such as Interim-CFO of Trion Battery and VP Finance of Exro Technologies Inc. Mr. Kim has held financial leadership roles for various publicly listed companies for over 15 years.
